Too Fast for Serial

Notice how quickly you can find the average direction. Our data shows that you are not simply sampling a couple of walkers. Instead, you are incorporating information from all of the walkers on the screen. Furthermore, the percept is too fast (<1 second) to require serially examining each walker, so it must be encoded in parallel.
